What is the brand Cruise Couture about?

It is about fashion, giving the best to the people out there. Whenever they think of what to put on, they think of Cruise Couture products

When and How did you start Cruise Couture?

It started in 2010, that was when I did the first print on shirt myself. And thank God today, Cruise Couture has grown to be not only a "print on shirt" clothing company but we now make t-shirts, polo, shits, trousers, suits, native (casuals and full), jackets, shoes, cufflinks, fashionable hand bands, and other fashion accessories. My fashion inspiration was from my  Dad. I have known him to always be fashion conscious since I was a kid, and also I started out of a need for good, simple but classy wears. I knew it then that I have a lot to offer in the fashion world.

How is Cruise Couture different from any other brands out there?

Cruise Couture is different from other brands because we believe in simplicity and class. We always work hard to give our customers the best.

Can you please tell us your academic background

I went to the prestigious Abeokuta Grammar School, the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, and am presently at the premier university in Nigeria, the University of Ibadan. I think you should notice a trend "Class".

For an economist, why branch into fashion designing? Passionate or business mind?

I will say both, Passionate because of my background and what I inherited from my dad, and Business minded as an Economist student. I have never seen any businessman that won't want to make money, but that shouldn't come first. Been passionate about whatever you do makes you deliver the best to your customers which in return give you the cash.

Who  do you look up to in the fashion world? Locally and internationally

Firstly, my Dad. Then some other fashionists, not one, because the fashion world isn't stable, it changes with time and people. But as a Nigerian, I admire Nigerian brands like MUDI, my boss, KYTAN Clothing to mention but a few. These are people that their products can compete anywhere in the world.

Do you source for your materials locally?

Some of the materials are foreign made, while some are locally made (Tiwa n Tiwa) and these locally made materials have been so encouraging. We only want them to improve with world standards, and also want the Nigerian community at large to encourage us by buying "MADE IN NIGERIA" products Am a proud Nigerian!

What are the challenges you face?

Well, not all are challenges, some are to prepare you and make you improve yourself. But the main problem is the access to good materials from abroad, because foreign materials are the best for now no doubt, and these foreign companies always want to deal in large scale for mass production. Therefore, getting small quantity of "good" foreign materials has not been really easy but because we are always determined in giving our customers the best, and won't compromise that, we always find every possible means to get the good materials, and God has really been helping

How affordable are your prices?

Well, they are always affordable, and not just affordable, they are always nice and classy. We have our products from 2000 naira upward

Where do you see Cruise Couture in five years?

With the help of God, I see Cruise Couture to be the most sought after brand name in fashion locally and internationally. The sky is our starting point

Right now, Cruise Couture is based in Ibadan, but we have people working for us in other cities like Lagos, Abeokuta, and Abuja.
