My name is Precious Adigboluja, a student of Redeemer's university (RUN). I am a fashion designer, and have a brand called Outstanding Clothing

What is your brand, Outstanding Clothing into?

Outstanding clothing is into a lot of things like customizing tees, polos, tan top, blazer, jalamia, jeans, Tshirts etc

Apart from customizing tees, and polos, what else?

Creative things. Fashion is my passion, so I love doing different designs, so I include all.

Kindly tell me more about your academic background

Education is the best resource of life. I went to St. Catherine for my primary education, then Lagos state model college Badore for secondary education, and now am in RUN studying English language. Studying English language provides me with an opportunity to think outside the box. I intend on becoming a great poet

How and when did you start Outstanding Clothing?

The name "Outstanding" was given to me by my elder sister, and I professionalized the brand in 2012. I put God first in everything I do, and that has resulted in Outstanding designs

Kindly share how you got you 1st piece of equipment, and what your 1st work was like?

The very 1st work I did was a dress, and it was done with my hands. On that day, I was bored, and decided to play with needle, and thread with a material. The outcome was quite lovely sha.

What differentiates your brand from others

With Outstanding Clothing, you get a unique, creative, natural, comfortable, and "always on point" designs

How affordable is your brand?

Outstanding clothing offers affordable designs. We have designs from 2000 naira upwards. You can get an Outstanding Clothing round neck, fitted T-shirt for 2000 naira.

It is pretty lucrative. It depends on your marketing strategy, and when God says it is time, it will be. All you need to do is work hard, and dedicate a lot of time to the brand.

I am Adesalu Olamide, CEO of Ladylammie Creations, a brand that is into craft work and bead making.

When did you start this venture?

It  started in September of 2013. A friend of mine was in my room one day, and she was on the phone talking to a friend about bead. I have always had interest in knowing how to make beads, so I asked her if she would be willing to teach me, and she agreed.

Why the name Ladylammie Creations?

I wanted to open an account on twitter and wanted something to go with my name. I couldn't come up with any that hasn't been used, but suddenly a friend came up with the name and it stuck since then

Kindly tell us about your educational background?

I studied Politics and International Relations at Lead city University, Ibadan

With a degree in Politics and International Relations, do you intend on going for the regular 8am-5pm job?

Well surprisingly, after my youth corp. service, I decided not to write a Curriculum Vitae (CV) as I wanted to focus on my business but you know how mothers are like. I told her to give me 3 months to prove myself after which I will write my CV, and look for a job. During that period, I did so well that people were amazed. So the answer to your question is, I don't think I want a job that will keep me away from doing my business.

How can the government support SMEs in Nigeria?

The government can help by holding seminars and conferences creating awareness on the importance of SMEs and also by giving incentives.

I will like to say to people out there, young or old, please engage your hands, be creative. Try and find something to do along with the work you have no matter how little it is. Invest in it, and in no time it will yield positively.
